THE largest Falkirk supporters' flag ever is due to be unveiled at Westfield on Russell Latapy Day.

A giant shirt, with the Little Magician's No. 10 on it, is nearing completion for the event which takes place on Saturday, November 29.

On the big day, when Falkirk play Latapy's former club Hibernian, the midfield maestro will be honoured for p
roviding his current fans with so much entertainment over the past five years. Many things are being planned, including a 3500-strong card display, a special award for the
Trinidadian and supporters wearing his country's famous red.

A fantastic raffle will also take place with prizes that include a boardroom hospitality package, two further hospitality tickets for a category 'C' game, a signed shirt and ball.

Meanwhile, a special auction to win a pair of tickets for the 2008-09 Falkirk Oscars/Player of the Year award ceremony in the Macdonald Inchyra Grange Hotel at the end of the season has now started. Fans have a chance of mingling with the players and VIPs at the annual event by sending an e-mail to russelllatapyday@hotmail.co.uk with their name, phone number and the amount they would like to bid. All proceeds will go into the Russell Latapy Day fund and the auction ends on Sunday, November 30.

That is also the date when a special sportsman's lunch at Behind the Wall with guest speakers Peter Brown and Jim Leishman will be held.

There will be a special Caribbean themed menu and cocktails as well as a video presentation. Limited numbers of tickets, priced £35, are currently on sale at BTW and all proceeds will be donated to a charity of Latapy's choice.

Organiser Keith Miller is currently looking for fans to help out on Russell Latapy Day, including face painters, and those who can spare a couple of hours are asked to send an e-mail to russell
latapy@hotmail.co.uk
