Airth lout's lewd response to female police officer's 'sharp objects' question

A simple question regarding the possibility of having sharp objects in his pockets let a filthy minded offender to make a below-the-belt comment to a female police officer.

David Reid (33) appeared from custody via video link at Falkirk Sheriff Court on having pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening manner in High Street, Airth on December 20 last year.

Rachel Hill, procurator fiscal depute, said: “It was 9pm and police had cause to attend at the address and found the accused standing there. Due to his behaviour he was handcuffed and, before he was search, was asked if he had any sharp objects on him.”

Reid stated “aye” he did have a sharp object and referred to his private parts, while calling a female police officer a “slag”.

The court heard Reid, 21 High Street, Airth, was intoxicated at the time and had no one but himself to blame for his current situation.

Sheriff Christopher Shead sentenced him to five months in prison.
