The wedding of Michelle Linvingstone and Alan Rooney
THE COUPLE: Michelle Rooney (nee Livingston) is 26 and from Grangemouth. She is an administration assistant at Ineos. Alan Rooney (28) is from Bo'ness and is a process technician at Ineos, Grangemouth. The couple live in Clanranald Place, Falkirk.

WHERE THEY MET: The couple first met when Michelle went for a job interview at Rhom and Haas in Grangemouth in June 1998.
Alan was an apprentice there.

THE PROPOSAL: Alan popped the question while they were on holiday in Mexico, walking along the beach under the stars

THE WEDDING: The marriage took place in Glenbervie House, Larbert, on August 1, 2008. The ceremony was conducted by Registrar Kay Comrie. There were 120 relatives and friends at the service, and 200 at the evening reception.

THE BRIDE'S OUTFIT: Michelle wore a Mori Lee strapless ivory dress with a jewel–encrusted bodice.

THE BRIDAL PARTY: The bridesmaids were Lindsay Carr and Cheryl Wilson; the bestman was Owen Lapsley; and the ushers were Stuart Carr and Gary Barkham.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple headed west to Playa Mujeres in Mexico.

THANKS: A special thanks are extended to both sets of parents for all their help, and the family and friends for the lovely gifts and good wishes.
