The wedding of Kirsty Dowell and Darren Drummond
THE COUPLE: Kirsty Drummond (nee Dowell) is a 25–year–old childminder from Camelon; and Darren Drummond (26) is originally from Whitburn. He is a lecturer at Falkirk College. The couple live in Fairlie Street, Camelon.

WHERE THEY MET: The couple met in the Callendar Arms, Falkirk, on February 24, 2007.

THE PROPOSAL: After a six–month romance, Darren surprised Kirsty by proposing to her when they went out for a walk around Callendar Park loch on August 22.

THE WEDDING: Kirsty and Darren were married by the Rev. Stuart Sharp in Camelon Parish Church on September 6, in front of 100 guests. There were 150 guests at the reception in the Park Hotel, Falkirk.

THE BRIDE'S OUTFIT: Kirsty wore a Berketex ivory dress, 'Adrienne'. with pearl detail.

THE BRIDAL PARTY: The bridesmaids were Kathryn Dowell, Jennifer Seaton and Kirsty Cross; best men were Lee Cross and Graham Clark; pageboy was Ben Marshall; and ushers, Alan Dowell, Michael Dowell and Thomas Binnie.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple went to Blair Athol.
