Baby of the Week ... Violet Beattie

VIOLET Grace Ruth Beattie was born in Stirling Royal Infirmary on Monday, August 4, at 11.46 a.m. and weighed in at 9lb 2oz.
THE PARENTS: Hazel Beattie (nee Rose) is 32 and lives in Polmont. She is an arts officer for Falkirk Council. Simon Beattie (31) is from Roslin and is an interpretation and events manager at Rosslyn Chapel. The couple, and their other daughter April (3), live in
St Margaret's Gardens, Polmont.

THE PREGNANCY: Hazel said it was long and tiring, but worth it in the end.

THE BIRTH: It was a Caesarean section and straightforward.

THE BABY: The infant is said to be a good and contented baby.

THE NAME: Violet and Grace were names they both liked and Ruth is after Simon's late grandmother.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Helen and Murray Rose, Polmont; and Rae and Stuart Beattie, Roslin.
