A long vacant site on Thornhill Road, Falkirk, will have affordable housing built on it, if planning permission is granted.

The proposal is to create 22 flats and one two-storey house with car parking and amenity spaces, spread between two three-story buildings on the corner of King Street and Thornhill Road.

Block A will occupy the corner location facing onto King Street and Block B will look out over Victoria Park playing field.

All of the flats will be for social rented housing.

In total, there will be nine one-bedroom flats; 13 two-bedroom flats and one two-bedroom house managed by Link Housing Association and Paragon Housing Association.

Thornhill Community Centre will also get a new and separate car park as part of the plans.
