Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Huseyin Kuzu, 47, had pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour – acting aggressively towards his partner – at an address in Orchard Street, Falkirk on December 12 last year.

Ann Orr, procurator fiscal depute, said the couple, who own a business together, had been married for 15 years, but separated in 2021 and continued to live in the same house.

She added: “It was 11.30am and she was in her bedroom with her door locked. He came to the other side of the door and began shouting at her. She recorded some of what he said on her phone.

Kuzu, 26 Avon Drive, Linlithgow, was admonished and Sheriff Harris did not impose a non harassment order.
