Falkirk Delivers is delighted to announce the first Falkirk Restaurant Week. This type of event has proven popular with other Business Improvement Districts and their town centres in the past, and organisers thought it was about time Falkirk got involved.

The aim is simple – increase customer footfall to boost the local economy and showcase the range and quality of the area’s eateries to residents and visitors alike. It is a fantastic opportunity for cafés, bars and restaurants in the town centre to benefit from additional customers while promoting the area as a foodie’s haven.

Falkirk Restaurant Week is an event from September 12-18 that showcases Falkirk Town Centre’s culinary skills. The idea is, business in the town centre set their lunch and dinner menus at two specific price points that are available at either lunch or dinner throughout this week.

To take part, restaurants simply need to offer a fixed price menu as follows – a £10 lunch or a £25 dinner. What they want to provide for this price is up to the individual venue, but to make it value for money for Falkirk’s foodies most will be offering something special – think of 2 or 3 courses, tasting menus, meal deals etc.

Menus will be available online via falkirkdelivers.com LINK so customers can browse and select where they’d like to go for lunch or dinner.

Falkirk Restaurant Week is here to get customers back into Falkirk’s hospitality venues during a time that’s traditionally quiet. Falkirk Delivers will be sharing all the details as the event grows closer, so make sure you’re keeping an eye on their social pages.

Falkirk Delivers is keen to provide cost effective options to get customers into their town centre, and by offering specific price points, customers know what they’re getting.

Elaine Grant, BID Manager, said: “It’s an ongoing struggle for the town centre at the moment when summer is over and before the Christmas period, especially for hospitality businesses. However, we also know that customers visiting our town centre are also feeling the pressures of the cost of living increase.

“We’re already seeing businesses affected by this crisis, and we’re trying to take proactive measures to make sure that people still think of their town centre as a place to go for lunch or dinner, instead of immediately nipping to Glasgow or Edinburgh.

“Falkirk Restaurant Week is the perfect time for restaurants to showcase their offering to the public, to try new menus or to bring new customers into their venues. It’s going to be a great week, and hopefully if it works well for the businesses, we’ll be having another one in the near future.

“So if you’re able to, visit Falkirk during Falkirk Restaurant Week and try some tasty food from our fantastic offering. Try somewhere new, or try an old favourite but be sure to support local!”
